The Challenge

The redesign of Pri-Med's online platform was focused on providing the quickest and easiest way for users to find online content and in-person conferences that are most relevant to their practice, and the most efficient way to engage with online activities.

The Approach

The redesign applied contemporary design patterns to provide competitive product differentiation, such as simple dropdown to shuffle content tiles to quickly narrow down search results. Content recommendations include a mix of online and in-person based on user behavior and background, providing equal value to both. When viewing online content, navigation is minimized providing focus at the task at hand.In-person event content is treated with dynamic elements, making each piece unique and able to function independently.

Tile design

The design gave users two large drop downs based on what we discovered were primary intentions during user research – find online activity or find a medical conference.

Online activities and conferences are listed together in the new tile design that are visually engaging and informative.

From the tile list users can quickly and the activity to their queue (Learn it Later™), begin the activity, register for the event, or view the event's agenda.

Activity design

The redesign for the online activities removed unnecessary distractions from the use so they could focus on the task at hand. Main navigation is minimized and activity progress is a drawer that slides off canvas. Typography was also a major focus where type size and line lengths were optimized at each responsive breakpoint to provide maximum readability.
